Community Projects

The Subtech’s Socio-Economic Development (SED) Strategy is an important element of the Company’s transformation programme. The Strategy is aimed at delivering on the objectives of job creation and poverty alleviation through skills development and education. This is achieved through the donation or sponsorship of resources, support and/or skills. The initiatives undertaken by the Group are orientated towards creating and facilitating sustainable empowerment for the communities in and around where the Group operates. While the Group has a long and varied history of community project initiatives, over the last four years the strategy has been focused on embracing those organizations and projects that allow the Company to contribute meaningfully to skills development and education. Our partners include:

• Lawhill Maritime Faculty, Simonstown School
• Durban University of Technology
• Stella Pre-Primary
