The Subtech Group has a proud history of training and development with a track record in local development in:

⦁ Namibia

In addition to this above, we are also:

⦁ Extensively involved in the career and competency development programs for trainee divers, including the development of a national occupation certificate for the occupation “Commercial Diver” through the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO)
⦁ Technical Partner with STC Group & Workships Contractors in the ROTC Training Centre in Pemba, Mozambique
⦁ Involved in an internship and work exposure programmes with the Maritime Chamber of the Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA) and other industry stakeholder groups

The Training and Development Division seeks to ensure that all Training & Development for the Subtech Group – both external and internally focussed – is aligned to Company Business Objectives and in support of industry scarce and critical skill needs. We are in the unique position of being able to complement training already available in the market with experiential, on-the-job training – a critical part of in ensuring competent human resources are available to industry and addressing the 3 main aims of Operation Phakisa – Skills Development, Job Creation and Poverty Alleviation.

Training Facilities:

Our head office in Durban has: –

⦁ A dedicated, modern training room that can comfortably seat 12 persons
⦁ A dive tank for diver training
⦁ On-site, 3rd party canteen facilities for catering purposes
